And yet again I am honoured with the pleasure of photographing the new bundle of joy of one of my children’s carers – Miss Claire :-). Claire been both of my children’s kinder teacher (currently my son) and I was so happy to have been invited into her home to meet her gorgeous family which is now a family of four after the birth of little Millie.
When I photograph a newborn lifestyle session, it isn’t so much about the baby on it’s own but how the baby is welcomed into his or her new family and as you can see here, her big brother Liam is sure doing that welcoming. It was fascinating to me to watch how tender and kind Liam was to Millie by brushing her hair and always watching over her but yes he is still a toddler and he wants to still make his presence known as a big part of his family. It just occurred to me that in all the fog and haze of having a newborn, you kind of forget that precious family time at the start – Liam was loving having both his mum and dad Jarred home.
